Dog Flu Facts
The canine influenza virus (CIV) has been confirmed in dogs across 38 states. Any dogs that have not come in contact with this virus, or have not been vaccinated against it, are at risk of becoming infected.
Canine influenza has many similar symptoms to the bordetella virus aka "kennel cough". Coughing, sneezing, runny nose, diarrhea, lethargy and fever are some of the symptoms to look out for.
Please consult your veterinarian for more information on the virus and see if the influenza vaccine is right for your dog.
